PUBG MOBILE is pleased to today unveil details of the PUBG MOBILE Esports schedule for 2023. Fans now know when they can expect to catch the action from the title’s two global competitions the PUBG MOBILE World Invitational (PMWI) and PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC), as well as its newly-expanded PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL). Looking to the future, PUBG MOBILE will also soon be revealing details on its highly anticipated partner league for Southeast Asia, taking the regional championship to the next level through partnership with pro teams.
Commencing later this month is the PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL), with its Southeast Asia division kicking things off in February and running until the end of the month.
PMPL will then host the Americas Championship, which kicks off with its North American division in March, closing out in April, followed by Brazil and Latin American subregions from March to May. Running alongside these events is the Africa subdivision of the Pro League Middle East & Africa Championship which is scheduled for March to April and the Arabia subdivision, which will run from May to June. The European Championship, featuring subdivisions Türkiye and Europe is also set to kick off this year, with dates to be announced soon.
PUBG MOBILE Regional Clash has also increased in scale for 2023. The series allows fans to witness their favourite regional teams go head-to-head outside of PUBG MOBILE Esports’ global tournaments.
2023 will also see changes to the pinnacle global events in PUBG MOBILE Esports, with more details to be revealed soon. PMWI returns, held in Riyadh in July, where the competition once again will see top teams around the world including 2 strongest teams of SEA, 1 team each from South Asia, Middle East & Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
Closing out the year will be the PMGC, PUBG MOBILE’s premier tournament. The competition will start with the PMGC League, running from November to December, before concluding in dramatic fashion with the top teams moving through to the Grand Finals later in December. PMGC will feature 48 teams, including 11 from Southeast Asia, 6 from South Asia, 6 from Middle East & Africa, 7 from Europe and 7 from the Americas.The rest of slot allocation and tournament format for PMWI and PMGC will be announced soon.
The announcement of the full 2023 pro schedule follows after a series of major changes were announced earlier this year to the PUBG MOBILE esports program. It was revealed that the PMPL would be expanded through the introduction of a SEA Wild Card (PH/KH/MM/SG), which covers Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia and Singapore regions. It was also detailed that PUBG MOBILE Esports official tournaments will be transitioning to a 10-point system in order to make the competition more exciting and competitive.
