Guild Esports has signed a three-year global sponsorship agreement with Sky UK, in a deal among the largest in European esports history.
Sky’s first ever esports deal is Guild’s largest ever, and sees Sky become the Official Premier Partner of Guild Esports, as well as the Official HQ Partner, Official Wi-Fi and Broadband partner and Official Network Provider. Sky’s branding will be prominent across Guild players’ jerseys, as well as both the interior and exterior of Guild’s top-of-the-range HQ, now named the Sky Guild Gaming Centre. It is Guild’s eighth revenue generating deal following deals with Coca-Cola, Samsung, Subway, and a £4.5 million deal with Bitstamp.
The partnership is based in shared brand values, aiming to provide exclusive esports competitions for Sky VIP customers across all Guild’s gaming titles, more opportunities for women in the esports industry and establish best practices in delivering top esports performance and coaching development. The deal will allow Guild to launch an all-female Rocket League team, their sixth roster, building on the success of Valorant X, the company’s all-female Valorant team.
