Guild Esports has announced that it has extended the contracts of its Fortnite pro players Anas “Anas” El-Abd and Henrik “Hen” McLean in a one-year deal with the option to extend for another year.
Anas joined Guild in January 2021 and since then has been highly successful, recently winning the $1 million tournament ‘MrBeast’s Survival Challenge’, organised by YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson; and winning the zero-build event at the Gamers8 Fortnite LAN in Saudi Arabia, splitting the $250k prize with his teammate. Hen, who joined Guild in December 2020, has also seen great success for Guild, winning the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) three times (March 2021, November 2021 and March 2022).
Hen and Anas have an extensive social media following: Hen has more than 600,000 followers across his social channels, and Anas has more than 450,000. They compete together regularly, recently achieving third place in the Elite Cup Weekly Finals in January 2023, and will compete under the Guild banner in all upcoming European and international tournaments.
