Thunder Lotus, creators of unique hand-drawn indie games, have released Spiritfarer, the critically acclaimed “cozy management game about dying”. The game is available now on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Spiritfarer’s suggested retail price is 29.99$ USD.
Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends.
Anticipation for Spiritfarer’s release has grown steadily, from its first reveal at E3 2019, though recent positive preview write-ups from the likes of GameSpot and PC Gamer. Thunder Lotus had not previously announced a more precise launch window than “2020” for the game, so the decision to stealthily reveal its immediate release – through an eye-catching animated trailer featured prominently in today’s Nintendo Indie World Direct event – will no doubt come as a pleasant surprise to many.
