Team Vitality has announced the signing of French former League of Legends professional player Hugo “Dioud” Padioleau as its first official ambassador for Brazil, further expanding the organisation’s global influence. With over 890,000 followers across social media, and a strong presence in the Brazilian esports community, Dioud will act as official ambassador for Team Vitality to help strengthen the brand’s connection with the region.
Team Vitality has partnered with Dioud as the organisation’s official ambassador for Brazil to bridge the gap between the French team and the Brazillian community. Dioud will collaborate with Team Vitality to create engaging content and host a variety of events across his social media channels as part of the partnership, as well as sport Team Vitality merchandise. Team Vitality wants to learn about, and understand, the culture of Brazil to reach esports fans in the LATAM community, furthering its global expansion.
To nurture and develop Brazilian League of Legends talent, Team Vitality will organise an open tournament based on the classic ranked mode. The winners will receive the opportunity to develop their skills with some of the best players in Europe, with tournament content posted on Dioud’s social media channels, highlighting local Brazilian players.
Beginning his esports career in France, Hugo “Dioud” Padioleau has gone on to play for notable esports organisations including Ninjas In Pyjamas, before a decision to fill a support position at paiN Gaming took him to Brazil in 2015. Dioud became the first foreign League of Legends player to have a professional esports player work visa in Brazil. The former French pro has continued to grow his following within the Latin American community, and is now recognised as one of the most influential League of Legends content creators in the region.
“I’m so excited to join Team Vitality as their first brand ambassador in Brazil. Being able to represent both France and Brazil is important to me, and being able to do that alongside a huge brand such as Team Vitality is a dream come true. I can’t wait to show my fans and the Brazilian community all the great projects we have coming up”, said Hugo “Dioud” Padioleau.
“Team Vitality is excited to welcome Hugo “Dioud” Padioleau as its official ambassador for Brazil as we look to achieve our goal of becoming a truly global esports organisation. We have followed Dioud’s esports career from France to Brazil, and with such an active presence and dedicated fan base in region, we believe he will play an integral part in our commitment to develop esports talent in Brazil and the LATAM community”, said Fabien “Neo” Devide, President & Co-Founder, Team Vitality.
Team Vitality also recently announced the appointment of Guillaume de Montplanet as Team Vitality Managing Director and Co-CEO to help with the organisation’s global expansion efforts and brand growth. In December, Team Vitality laid the foundations for its expansion by launching into India with the signing of some of the biggest content creators from the region including YouTube sensation Nischay Malha.
