Ubisoft has announced that it is launching a brand new fan event, The Ubisoft Experience, which will take place alongside the Insomnia65 Gaming Festival, at the NEC in Birmingham, during the weekend of 24th-25th August. The two-day fan-focused celebration will offer visitors the chance to discover new games, meet Ubisoft teams and developers, explore their favourite brands with exclusive experiences, and, most of all, share their passion with the rest of the Ubisoft community. All revenue generated from the ticket sales will be donated to the charity SpecialEffect.
The UK event will be the first of three pilot celebrations planned for 2019, with Ubisoft Experience events also announced in Sydney and Paris later in the year. Promising both hands-on, and exclusive content, the event will include gaming zones, featuring both new releases, such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, as well as retro areas, and pods with Ubisoft’s fan-favourite live games. Visitors will also be able to explore a huge variety of additional content including developer panels, meet-and- greets, side activities, contests, esports and much more!
Attendees will have the opportunity to try upcoming titles, including the first UK public hands-on for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and brand-new gameplay content for Roller Champions, the fierce and fun PvP sports game, announced at E3. The line-up will also offer numerous other unique experiences, celebrating a wide variety of Ubisoft franchises, including Assassins Creed, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, Just Dance, Hungry Shark and more.
Watch Dogs Legion will be showcased on the main stage for the first time in the UK with live demonstrations from lead studio, Ubisoft Toronto. Attendees will have also have the opportunity to meet Ubisoft’s development teams with exclusive talks and panels. Highlights will include a presentation from Aymar Azaïzia, from the Assassin’s Creed team at Ubisoft Montreal, who will be on hand to discuss the ever-growing universe of the historic franchise. Guest can even lace up their roller skates on a custom-built Roller Champions Roller Disco, which features live music.
We can’t wait to celebrate The Ubisoft Experience with our fantastic UK community, with a packed schedule of activities over the Bank Holiday weekend,”, said Rob Cooper, Managing Director, Ubisoft UK. “We are also very proud to be supporting SpecialEffect through this event; an inspirational organisation close to all within the gaming industry.”
