The 2019-2020 competitive season is officially underway in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), so it’s time to get ready and gear up! For Duelists who still need to grab key cards and prepare for tournaments, the time is now with a trio of releases featuring the latest core booster set Rising Rampage and some new accessories. Then competitors are invited to gaze into the shadowy past of some of Dueling’s darkest characters, and take a cheerful look ahead to the Winter holidays! Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) is proud to present five new releases this September; from Special Editions to the annual Advent Calendar, familiar offerings will rise to new heights.
Everything kicks off with a throwback to the newest core booster set of the year with Rising Rampage Special Edition. High-impact cards like Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess and Get Out! can fit into all sorts of strategies, while Marincess maniacs, Tenyi devotees and Fortune Lady fans get a second chance to finish their Decks with all-stars like Marincess Coral Anemone, Tenyi Shaman and Fortune Lady Every. You can find key cards for fan-favorite themes like Dragunity Knight – Romulus and Witchcrafter Golem Aruru too, as past strategies return revitalized and ready to Rampage, and watch out for hot tech picks like Storm Dragon’s Return and White Howling.
Speaking of hot tech, every Rising Rampage Special Edition comes with 2 of 4 Super Rare cards making their TCG debut, and one of them is a blazing new “Salamangreat” monster that’s ready to heat things up in competition. This good boy fetches cards back from your Graveyard with two fiery effects, returning a “Salamangreat” card from your Graveyard to your hand or reviving a Salamangreat in Defense Position. It’s a “fur-ocious” new ally in the fight to dominate your Duels.
Rising Rampage Special Edition launches September 13. Each Special Edition Box includes 2 of the 4 new Super Rare cards and 3 Rising Rampage booster packs.
Launching alongside Rising Rampage Special Edition, two new accessories help you Duel with dignity, keeping your cards safe and by your side. A serious Deck needs serious protection, and the Dark Hex Card Sleeves are designed to meet the needs of the most rigorous Duelist, created to meet sanctioned tournament standards. A holographic pattern accented with a glittering foil effect adds a touch of pop to your table top, while the black and charcoal color scheme let your cards speak for themselves. In addition, every Duelist needs a durable carrier for their Deck. The Dark Hex Card Case features a matching holographic motif and the same glittering foil finish to complement the Dark Hex Card Sleeves, packing enough room for up to 70 sleeved cards – enough for your Main Deck, Side Deck and Extra Deck. It also comes with a divider to keep your cards organized with a matching design.
The Dark Hex Card Sleeves and Dark Hex Card Case are available September 13.
Bakura’s back! Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny heralds the return of some of Dueling’s greatest villains, biggest threats, and some shadowy newcomers too. First up, Bakura’s classic Dark Necrofear and Destiny Board strategies are reborn with new tricks and powerful support: a new Level 8 Fiend-type takes its cues from Bakura’s original powerhouse, harnessing your banished cards and dangling destruction over your opponent’s head according to the state of your Destiny Board. Sacrifice sinister servants from your hand to revive Dark Necrofear and its new accomplice, and search whatever you need with a new Spell Card: one that breathes life into Destiny Board if your opponent destroys it.
Rex Goodwin returns with all-new tactics to bolster the strength of his Sun Dragon Inti, Moon Dragon Quilla, and Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca. And you can relive Jaden’s stint on the wrong side of morality with the highly anticipated new “Evil HERO” monsters! True power doesn’t wait around: search for the Supreme King’s mightiest weapons with minions like Evil HERO Adusted Gold and Evil HERO Sinister Necrom plus a deadly new Spell Card, then activate Jaden’s Dark Fusion to unleash Evil HERO Malicious Bane and demolish your opponent’s field. The Number Hunter Quattro emerges with new Gimmick Puppets, and Yuri joins the fight from the Fusion Dimension of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V animated series with powerful new Predaplants, searching cards and leveraging Predator Counters like never before.
Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny creeps into stores September 27 with 58 cards: 31 Commons, 10 Rares, 8 Super Rares and 9 Ultra Rares.
Fast becoming an annual tradition, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Advent Calendar is back with a new two-sided format, featuring 12 doors on each side and two dozen festive cards to bring some holiday cheer to your collection. This time Kuriboh is king: the new Advent Calendar features some of its most popular forms for the ultimate in fur-clad fanservice. Every Advent Calendar includes the variant “winking” version of the classic Winged Kuriboh and you’ll even find a new “Performapal” Kuriboh monster too!
Get ready to count down the days to Christmas with the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Advent Calendar on September 27. Each Calendar contains 24 cards: 17 Super Rares and 7 Ultra Rares.
