SEGA and The Creative Assembly have unveiled an exciting free update for Total War PHARAOH, introducing four new iconic playable cultures and over 150 battle units, all set within an expanded theatre of war.
The update aims to enhance the Total War PHARAOH campaign experience by refining existing gameplay elements and introducing a wealth of new content to immerse players in the chaos of the Bronze-Age collapse. Key additions include the expansion of the campaign map, featuring the highly anticipated regions of Mesopotamia and Aegea, along with their respective playable factions: Babylon, Assyria, Mycenae, and Troy.
Furthermore, players can anticipate enhancements to the strategic campaign layer, including the introduction of the Dynasty system, which adds depth to faction leaders’ quests to establish a lasting legacy. On the battlefield, over 80 new units will bolster the Mesopotamian factions, while Mycenae and Troy will receive over 70 reworked units originally introduced in A Total War Saga: TROY.
To provide further insights into the development process, the Total War PHARAOH team will release a series of blogs and Q&A sessions exploring the new content additions. The first installment, scheduled for next week, will delve into the expansion of the campaign map and the team’s efforts to breathe life into this ancient world.
Additionally, players will have the option to experience the original Total War PHARAOH campaign prior to the update, with more details on this feature to be disclosed in a future blog post. Stay tuned for further updates and prepare to immerse yourself in the turbulent world of Total War PHARAOH!
