Using the powerful augmented reality tech that sits inside everyone’s phone, players are tasked with exploring the world around them, hunting for parcels containing mystery prizes and unique rewards from the brands they love.
Prize parcels include products, experiences, subscriptions, discounts and exclusive offers. The game has already proven successful among players with unique and exclusive prizes redeemed during the game’s pilot, including a house deposit, a trip to New York to attend a movie premiere and an 18-carat gold jar of Marmite! And in late July, Golden Parcels will be released across the UK giving players the chance to Snatch real cash!
The game is packed with prize parcels to suit everyone, with players identifying their favourite products and brands before they play, meaning prizes are always tailored to the players’ interests. Current brands featuring on the game range from Under Armour to Glossybox and Hotels.com to Tidal.
Once a parcel has been collected through the free-to-play AR app, players will be challenged to protect and defend it from others, using an arsenal of defence and attack tools, in order to unlock the reward inside. Players can also Snatch parcels from friends, rivals or even strangers nearby making it a must-play for avid gamers or those just happy to swipe a one-off prize from others.
Snatch Product Director Vishaal Vadher said:
“Snatch is an exciting mobile game that utilises the technology in everyone’s pockets. A geocache game with an AR twist, it takes real players on real-world adventures with their friends – giving them the chance to win amazing prizes along the way. Whether you love certain brands and want to get your hands on the latest products or subscriptions, or you are purely in it for the mischief of Snatching parcels from other players – Snatch puts a world of rewards at your fingertips.”
