Philosophical First-Person Puzzle Game in an Existential Adventure Heads to PS4 Following Critical and Commercial Success on Steam
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, in partnership with game developer Croteam and indie publisher Devolver, today announced the retail launch of The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition for PlayStation© 4. Based on the award-winning PC game, written by Tom Jubert (FTL, The Swapper) and Jonas Kyratzes (Infinite Ocean), The Talos Principle is a cryptic and thought-provoking, metaphysical parable about intelligence and meaning in an inevitably doomed world. Following its late 2014 release on Steam, The Talos Principle immediately earned broad critical and player acclaim – and is now available on PS4™ at retail locations, and via download at the PlayStation© Store, in Europe.
Players are woven into The Talos Principle on an existential journey as a sentient artificial intelligence placed in a simulation of humanity’s greatest ruins, and linked together through an arcane cathedral. Guided by the ethereal voice of Elohim, players embark on a journey to discover whether machine and man are one by solving a series of increasingly complex puzzles in an artistically beautiful simulation.
The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition includes:
- Complex Conundrums – more than 120 immersive puzzles through the eyes of an advanced artificial intelligence construct;
- Historic Representations – sophisticated technology furnished by the creators to unravel each predicament entombed within digital recreations of humanity’s ruins;
- Croteam Technology – Croteam’s Serious Engine 4 technology, the next advancement in the engine behind the Serious Sam series;
- The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna Expansion Content from the PC Version – four additional episodes from the pens of Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes to expand the story of self-discovery.
The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition for PS4 has an PEGI rating of 7+ and retails for £29.99 and €39,99
