New teams join to compete in Call of Duty: WWII, Overwatch, League of Legends and Tekken 7
GAME has announced that its BELONG Arena Clash is back for a Spring season, bigger and better than before, with registration open today for all gamers over 16 years of age across the UK.
The national esports tournament gives every gamer the opportunity to join a team at their local BELONG gaming arena and compete for a place at the live finals, hosted at the UK’s biggest gaming festival Insomnia62 over the Easter weekend.
This season of BELONG Arena Clash is the biggest yet, with players from 19 BELONG Arenas around the country competing across four top titles; Call of Duty: WWII*, Overwatch, League of Legends and Tekken 7. Regional teams – including newcomers from Bradford, Glasgow and Nottingham – will be vying for the titles in a bid to challenge current champions Manchester Swarm, Colchester Centurions, Portsmouth Pirates and London Lionhearts. Victorious players will win £100 worth of hardware accessories and £100 worth of GAME Reward points each**.
Following last year’s successful pre-season programme, BELONG is once again hosting community nights for all titles giving both new talent and established players the chance to hone their skills to compete in BELONG Arena Clash Spring 18 and win £10 of GAME Reward points each time they play. The programme will feature dedicated gaming nights throughout the week, with stations available to play Call of Duty, Overwatch, League of Legends and Tekken 7. Teams will be able to challenge other players from their arena, as well as other players from across the UK.
From today, players can sign up at their local arena and choose to try out for as many of the titles as they would like. Qualifiers week begins on the 22nd January, after which the teams will be selected for each arena*** and pitted against each other in two weeks of friendly matches before the league kicks off on the 12th February. After five rounds of competitive league stages during February and March, the tournament will culminate in the live finals hosted at Insomnia62 in Birmingham.

*Entrants must to be 18 years or over for Call of Duty: WWII tournaments, and 16 years or over for Overwatch, League of Legends and Tekken 7 tournaments
** 2nd placed teams will win £50 worth of hardware accessories and £50 worth of GAME reward points each
***A £35 participation fee applies following league qualification, with players receiving a free tribe t-shirt with players’ names included and five weeks’ worth of community nights. Those that do not qualify will be offered the opportunity to purchase five weeks’ worth of community nights for just £35
