Metallophobia Halloween event to frighten racers up until 30th November; ESL Play South American Championship Winner Announced
Available now, the Metallophobia event consists of a cauldron full of four new demonic modifications for Heavy Metal Machines characters; Little Monster, Rampage, Artificer and Black Lotus. Furthermore the Bomb will be transformed into bombkin, a petrifying pumpkin in a thrilling yet spooky capture the flag approach to racing, as well as the main menu undertaking an eerie appearance.
The ghoulish transformation of each of the four characters costs 915 in-game currency or 8,000 Fame points (only for Little Monster). Players looking to purchase the new spooktacular models of characters will need to look out for the following for the duration of the event:
- Little Monster: It’s Alive!
- Rampage: Arachnophobia
- Black Lotus: Curse of Nefertem
- Artificer: 71st Witchcraft (Players can retrieve this character for free by accomplishing a special event during Halloween. Players need to complete 40 matches with a friend via in-game party system.)
ESL Play Heavy Metal Machines South American Championship in partnership with Razer, StartPlay, Univali and Esporte Interativo took place over the weekend. Zony Gaming triumphed in a 3-2 victory against Wolf Team in the final, taking home R$4,375 from a total prize pool of R$12,500, Razer Kraken headphones, customised team t-shirts and a limited edition Black Lotus model, Simply The Best.
Hoplon recently announced Esports plans for 2018, introducing College Championship, an incentive constructed by Universities across the globe, as well as the European Championships for Heavy Metal Machines which will introduce a live stage final.
