In this review, I shall be checking out the all-new Flexispot BS12 Pro and I have to say over many years I have often seen gaming chairs that have flair, and look incredibly comfy but are a tad bit on the pricey side, so never got around to picking one up. My other half a few years ago bought me a gaming chair that was around the £100 mark and was the most expensive gaming chair I had owned, that was until the Flexispot BS12 Pro came along. I thought that £100 was expensive, then I saw the £429.99 price tag attached to it.
You might be thinking, why would anyone spend that on a gaming chair, but I think about it as like a mattress for a bed, you’re investing in your comfort to make sure that you are comfy and supported while sleeping. So, you could say investing in a decent gaming chair is the same, if you enjoy long gaming sessions, work from home, or are a streamer then having the best chair is an important part of your setup.
First impressions
When the chair arrived it came in a huge box which is expected but it was a tad bit on the damaged side. However, the chair itself luckily was damaged and all the parts were safely secured and all present. When I opened the box and started taking the parts out it was surprisingly heavy and did take me by surprise.
Looking over the parts it did look extremely comfortable and I love the black colour and feel of the Winxtex mesh. After digging through all the parts and lying them out, I turned my attention to the manual to start putting the chair together. Luckily it was super easy and didn’t take that long to assemble. Once I had put it together in my living room, I tested all the features to see what a £400+ chair has to offer and instantly found comfort and relaxation.
It’s like sitting on a cloud
The Flexispot BS12 Pro is the comfiest office chair that I have had the privilege of sitting on. If you could sit on a cloud this is probably what it would feel like. Though it doesn’t stop there as you can use all the adjustable mechanics on the chair to fine-tune it to your perfect settings. It has adjustable armrests, back support, and the three-button easy adjustment setting on the right-hand side are the main reasons this chair offers you the best posture support as well as the ideal gaming throne.
However, one of the problems I have with it is the headrest, I don’t think it is the best when it comes to tall people using the Flexispot BS12 Pro. When I’m sitting on it with the headrest at the max height it doesn’t fully support my head and for me to rest my head on it, I have to have my neck at a weird angle. When my partner sits on the chair it is the complete opposite and perfectly hugs her head. I can live with the head rest though as the rest of the chair makes up for the lack of head support.
Then came moving it from downstairs to its home in the makeshift gaming room (my bedroom) for some reason I thought it wouldn’t be too heavy forgetting that 30 minutes ago certain parts unassembled weight quite a bit. So after a few stops/starts while going up the stairs I finally managed to get the Flexispot BS12 Pro to its forever home (for the time being).
Wait, how much?
Yes, as mentioned above the Flexispot BS12 Pro RRP is £429.99 but comparing that to other gaming chairs on the market from companies like Secretlab it seems that this price range is expected when you are looking at a quality chair. This one isn’t primarily a gaming chair but nothing is stopping you from picking it up as one.
The breathable fabric is one of the best features as when my room gets warm and I can feel myself getting sweaty I don’t stick to the chair thanks to the Wintex mesh. It allows for a nice flow of air and keeps me cool while gaming. The armrests are fantastic as there is a brilliant amount of range when it comes to how high and low, they can go. My desk is quite high in my opinion and the armrest can sit flush against it which helps support my arms, wrists, and hands while gaming for long hours.
The back support does feel a bit flimsy when you are moving it around, At first, I thought that I might accidentally break it but once I found the right spot for it, I don’t need to mess around with it so the likelihood of it breaking is slim. The Italian Donati mechanism is a cool feature as it makes adjusting your comfort a lot easier. I haven’t used it before until now but it was a feature that I want on all my future chairs, if I even need to get another one.
The chair itself is sturdy and doesn’t feel to be made out of cheap materials which means it will last, which backs up the price tag again because you are paying for quality and not something that after a year will need replacing, even if you are using it day in day out. I have started using my PC a lot more since getting this chair, I use gaming on my PC as an excuse to sit like a king for a few hours every night, well that’s if the queen isn’t using it to read or do her work. The chair now sits in the makeshift gaming room and is an excellent addition to my setup, it even rolls smoothly on the carpet which was a struggle for my old chair.

Conclusion
If you are in the market for a new chair and have the money for it, I can highly recommend the Flexispot BS12 Pro. Sure it might not have cool liveries on it or an elegantly sown pattern but it makes up for it with a subtle black finish and pure comfort. It’s a premium office chair that can be easily adapted to be your next gaming chair. If you spend hours working at a desk for whatever reason the Flexispot BS12 Pro is the ideal option due to its well-supported sitting experience that comes with several personalisation options for all users and of course the feeling of sitting on a marshmallow.
I would consider this an investment rather than just a peripheral you would add to your setup for the sack of it, I honestly don’t think I could go back to my old chair now and when I go to work and use the office chairs there I realise just how good the Flexispot BS12 Pro is and for that reason I’m giving it a solid score of 9 out of 10.
