For many years fans of the Legend of Zelda series have tried to work out a timeline for the series, to see which games come before and after each other in the overall legend. This has been a hard and daunting task with the many Legend of Zelda games which have been released over the past 25 years and many people were not able to work out a timeline which made sense.
If you are one of the many people that have been trying to work out the timeline for the Legend of Zelda series then you can now find out the official timeline which Nintendo have released alongside many other goodies in a book named The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia. The book covers the whole history of the series split into several chapters. The book starts with ‘The Legend Begins’ a complete detailing of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and shows all artwork and even some unused ideas! The book continues on with ‘The History of Hyrule’ the complete Legend of Zelda story in chronological order. Finally it ends on ‘Creative Footprints’ which is a chapter jam packed with all of the artwork from the original Legend of Zelda all the way to Skyward Sword.
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia originally released in Japan at the end of 2012 though has finally gone through the translation procedure and has been available since the 29th January 2013 in the United Kingdom. To date the books are already out of stock at many book retailers due to how popular the series is as a whole but also due to fan demand.
The book on the high street can set you back £26 but can be found considerably cheaper if you are willing to shop around on the internet. While many may see this as a hefty price tag, you will definitely get your money’s worth from this book.
