We’re back again with the latest DLC pack for Jurassic World Evolution 2. Who would have guessed that in my last preview, I mentioned how it would be awesome to see a Camp Cretaceous Pack and low and behold we got one. This time around, you’ll get dinosaurs and skins from the hit Netflix TV show Camp Cretaceous which further expands your park’s roster. This pack will be a must-have for anyone that loved the DreamWorks Animation show and even more so if you love the incredibly fierce Scorpios Rex. With the release of this DLC, you’ll have the capability to have an Indominus Rex, Indoraptor, and Scorpios Rex all in one park. It’s an exciting moment for any Jurassic franchise fan.
The game has had a few updates recently with new park assets being added, this helps you personalise your park that little bit more, but the new DLC pack furthers the horizon on what is possible with your parks. This pack is mostly made up of new variations of dinosaurs but does offer a few new ones too. There is a Bumpy variation for your Ankylosaurs so that you can have this icon character from the show present at your park as well as the wonderfully colourful Parasaurolophus lux, it might not look that appealing during the day but at night they truly light up your park. Anyone who puts hotels next to their enclosures will certainly be giving their guests a wonderful view. These Paras are so awesome, and I love just having a huge herd of them walking around at night. The Monolophosaurus also makes an appearance in this pack which is a must for anyone that loves Carnivores. It is relatively small but don’t let that fool you into a false sense of security. The Kentrosaurs and Ouranosaurus variants are okay but nothing special and the same goes for the T.Rex, Carno, and three Baryonyx skins. If you are a fan of the TV show, then having the option to have the lookalikes from the show on display at your park is awesome but if it doesn’t both me you too much then it can be seen as content you aren’t going to use.
However, the huge selling point for me is the Scorpios rex, when I first saw this dinosaur in the first season of Camp Cretaceous, I was blown away by how scary it looked and just how awesome the design was. For those that might not have watched the show, the Scorpios rex is Dr.Heny Wu’s first hybrid creation. It has blood-red eyes, charcoal-black scales and prominent spikes, and jagged uneven teeth. it is known for its aggressive nature and was originally deemed unfit to put on display. That is until the release of this DLC pack.
This pack adds two new dinosaurs to your collection, which might seem lacking but it makes up for it with two different variants and eight new skins that are based on the successful Camp Cretaceous TV show. This DLC pack is now available on PC, PS4 and 5, Xbox One, and Series X/S. I got it on the PC which was an asking price of £7.99, even though it is £2 more expensive than the first DLC pack I feel like this one has more character and a lot more to offer players in terms of variety and dinosaurs to their parks. If you are a huge fan of Camp Cretaceous like me, then you would be silly to turn down the chance at putting a Scorpios Rex on display in your park. This DLC pack is my favourite so far and I’m even more excited to see what else could be on the horizon for Jurassic World Evolution 2. We might even get a DLC pack that ties in with the new Jurassic World: Dominion film or maybe a hybrid pack. The possibilities are endless and I’m super hyped to keep on playing this game as it keeps this DinoNerd hooked and wanting more. I would highly recommend this pack to any lover of the Jurassic franchise as well as any fellow dinosaur lovers. Please find links below to my articles covering the core game and also DLC pack 1:
