Just In Time Incorporated is a hilarious VR game about “Death Prevention Insurance” for the HTC Vive. As a new employee, your job is to save your clients from certain death as disasters play out in slow-motion. Your Hyper-Gloves allow you to move super-fast, teleport, and even catch bullets. It’s a good thing too, because death lurks in every corner in this action/comedy built from the ground up for immersive, room-scale VR.
After seven years in mobile games Ryan Drag and Justin Larrabee founded Second Wind Interactive in mid-2016. Their first project, Just In Time Incorporated, was initially inspired by the slow motion Quicksilver scene in X-Men Days of Future Past. A couple weeks of prototyping with slow-motion physics in VR led to a rough version of the game where the player could catch bullets and interact with physics objects in the world. The prototype was a lot of fun from the beginning, so the decision to turn it into the company’s first title was an easy one.
