Indie studio KaleJump Games, founded by Enzo Musmeci in 2019, has been working on the development of “Drake’s Odds: Survive“, a multiplayer survival game in which it will be possible to strategically take control of the enemies.
The player, in the role of an alien, must survive on the unknown and hostile planet Earth, using its advanced technology and alien powers, joining clans and fighting against other life forms.
“Drake’s Odds: Survive” is an Open World Sandbox in which it will be possible to fully explore the 64 km² game map by interacting with the surrounding environment, through which it will be possible to collect different types of resources and find objects useful to survive.
In addition to the classic survival game mechanics, several distinctive points stand out in “Drake’s Odds: Survive“. In fact, you can:
- Collect knowledge points from dead enemies to unlock and learn new recipes for crafting items and weapons through the research device
- Strategically possess enemies to exploit their different abilities depending on the NPC possessed
- Activate a limited duration range that will allow you to highlight neighboring NPCs, distinguishing those owned by other players from those managed by the AI
- Fly over the skies of the map with the spaceship with which you can hook and drag characters and vehicles with its light beam and hit enemies with its powerful laser beam
The game is still in development and will initially be released for PC only. We do not have a release date yet but we are working on an early access version to be published in Q1 2022.
“Drake’s Odds: Survive” was awarded as the best indie game by a jury of excellence (Keiichiro Toyama, creator of Silent Hill; Rachele Doimo, art director of SQUARE ENIX; Charles Cecil game designer of Broken Sword and Hidetaka Suheiro author of “D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die”), at the International Festival of comics and pop culture called ‘Etna Comics’ in Catania, in 2019.
