Global Game Jam has announced that site registrations for the 11th annual worldwide game jam that sees tens of thousands of participants from across the globe join in for a weekend of international creativity, close on January 4th, 2019. The 11th annual Global Game Jam will take place January 25th-27th, 2019 in over 900 registered sites in over 100 countries around the globe and growing.
The Global Game Jam is a yearly event that unifies professional, student and hobbyist game designers in an international unified effort to create game experiences based around a central theme, which changes every year. Every year the theme is a surprise to challenge everyone simultaneously around the world, announced at the event kick-off January 25th. Featuring keynotes from well-known industry visionaries Rami Ismael (Vlambeer), Brie Code (TRU LUV) and Limpho Moeti (Free Lives), Global Game Jam 2019 promises to be the biggest event yet with an anticipated 900 sites across at least 110 countries.
