Rocket League recorded its highest number of hours watched on Twitch in April 2021 but has since declined dramatically. According to data presented by Safe Betting Sites, the Rocket League’s number of hours watched on Twitch, decreased by 64% from the record high of 26.3M hours in April 2021 to just 9.47M hours in July 2021.

Rocket League is actually an improvement from an earlier version known as Battle-Cars that did not reach the same level of success. Developers Psyonix were praised for Rocket League’s overall improvement from Battle-Cars and has since become a popular game for the streaming industry and eSports.
In April 2021, Rocket League recorded 26.3M hours watched on Twitch globally, the highest in the game’s history. However, since then Rocket League has faced a substantial decrease in the number of hours watched and in July 2021 only recorded 9.47M total hours watched on Twitch, 64% lower than the record high set just 3 months prior.
Rocket League’s viewership actually began to drop off almost immediately after setting its record high after the number of hours watched dropped by 24.72% in May 2021 to just 19.8M. July 2021’s 9.47M hours watched also marks the first time since August 2020 that Rocket League recorded less than 10M hours watched on Twitch.
Rocket League is also one of the more popular games in eSports. In the first half of 2021 Rocket League had the 8th highest cumulative prize pool in gaming with $3.01M, beating out other favourites such as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Valorant.
