Coffee Stain Studios have released Update 7 for their hit factory-building simulator Satisfactory, for Early Access on the Epic Games Store and Steam. Earlier this month, full details of the update were revealed, including the addition of the game-changing Blueprint Designer allowing users to build complex factory modules with a single click!
Players can download the update for Satisfactory now from the Steam and Epic Games Store in Early Access.
Satisfactory Update 7 Features
- Blueprint Designer
- This new feature will significantly change how players can approach building their factory, enabling them to design their own modular solutions for fully functional production lines, or even aesthetic factory designs!
- Players simply place a Blueprint Designer (pictured below) and construct other buildings within the design space. They can save their setup and a Blueprint will be saved with their custom set-up – ready to be used over and over.
- Game Mode Settings
- In order to complement individual styles of play, Update 7 will introduce support for alternative Game Modes starting with the new ‘Creature Hostility’ setting.
- ‘Retaliate’ and ‘Passive’ creature hostility modes have been added along with the default ‘Regular’ behaviour. ‘Retaliate’ will see hostile creatures only attack if the player attacks them first, and ‘Passive’ sees creatures never attack the player character.
- These modes come with a promise of new game modes in future updates!
- Harvest for Rewards
- Alien DNA Capsules, produced from the remains of hostile alien wildlife, can now be exchanged for FICSIT Coupons in the AWESOME Sink making hunting more worth your while!
- Zipline ‘Sprint Mode’
- This new update also brings a brand new ‘Sprint Mode’ via Ziplines. Using the same controls as regular sprinting, players can enter Zipline Sprinting. The greater the distance travelled, the faster the Zipline Sprinting goes, allowing players to increase efficiency and productivity during long duration zips, or when ziplining upwards.
- Conveyor Belt Ceiling Attachments
- Conveyor belts are the bread and butter of every factory, and in Update 7 Conveyor Belt placement has received some love.
- Conveyor Belt Ceiling Attachments now provide a way for players to snap their belts directly to a ceiling.
- Conveyor Belt placement in general has been updated to dynamically select the appropriate attachment when building on floors, walls, and ceilings.
