INTERACTIVE INNOVATORS AND GAMES MASTERS OF TOMORROW READY FOR GAMES LONDON DELEGATION TO SLUSH
- Second outing to leading European tech event after 2016 outbound mission scored $10m deal
- Six upcoming studios selected with an interest in AR, AI, blockchain, esports, mobile and new forms of interactive entertainment
- Delegation includes a brand new London studio that comes out of stealth mode on 1 December
Six cutting-edge London games studios have been selected for Games London’s second outbound mission to SLUSH in Helsinki later this month.
A range of innovators working in AR, new genres of entertainment, and inventive new mobile studios focusing on AI, blockchain and competitive gaming will be taken to the European tech event on 30 November and 1 December to meet investors and raise their profile.
The selected studios include Boss Mode Games, Firebolt Games, Flavourworks, GimmeBreak Games and The Secret Police. Also attending is a brand new games studio freshly founded by key London games studio leaders and which comes out of stealth mode on 1 December.
At SLUSH the six companies will be attending investor meetings and networking events, meeting global contacts and potential new partners as part of Games London’s mission to grow the games sector in London and make it the games capital of the world.
Games London is a partnership between the capital’s screen industries agency, Film London, and Ukie, the trade body for games and interactive entertainment in the UK, supported by the Mayor of London’s London Enterprise Action Panel. Games London runs a B2B programme of inbound and outbound missions plus the annual London Games Festival, which attracted over 50,000 attendees in April 2017.
This is the second Games London outbound mission to SLUSH. Last year it took a number of games businesses from across the city to the tech event, with one attending firm eventually signing an investment deal worth $10m.
Games London and its SLUSH delegation will be in Helsinki from 29 November to 2 December. If you want to meet the delegation contact Games London’s Michael French (Michael.French@games.london) to arrange a meeting. Alternatively, the companies are registered in the SLUSH matchmaking system where event delegates can contact them direct for meetings.
