In addition to the release time lag, which is an impetus for gamers to look forward to the presence of each GTA series, Rockstar’s innovation can be considered as the driving wheel.
Released in several series, Rockstar always offers something new in the latest GTA series, not only in plot, characters, or music but also in gameplay. This evidence is even more robust when you see what Rockstar built-in GTA V.
Not just fighting or driving, you can now even parachute, dive, ride a submarine, participate in triathlons, and so on. The best parts? The potential is offered by the most powerful new feature – GTA Online.
Playing the game online is fun, especially when you have to do heist missions with people worldwide. The thing is, when you’re online, especially when playing a game, hackers can steal your private information.
Vital information like credit card details and addresses can be easily tracked once they get you. That’s why you need decent protection to mitigate the security risks. One of the practible methods you can do is install a VPN.
When playing GTA on your PC, you need a dependable VPN service that can work your device. Other than safely playing games, you can also enjoy safe browsing with Windows VPN.
Today we won’t talk much about GTA online that we’ve been playing for years. Lately, Rockstar has announced the exciting news that’s definitely can’t be missed by any GTA fans.
But before actually talking about it, have you been familiar with the GTA series?
The Long History of GTA Series
Everyone loves playing GTA because of how quirky, comedic, and realistic it is. Before GTA V came along, the classics were the foundations of the current game generations. Let us take you back to 1997 to meet the oldest title on the series.
Grand Theft Auto 1
The first Grand Theft Auto series was released in 1997 on Playstation 1, PC, and Game Boy, set in Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City.
Here the player will work with several gang groups in each city. The weapons are still essential, like a fist, rocket launcher, flamethrower, pistol, and machine gun. The players will be given a landscape POV from above.
Grand Theft Auto: London. 1969
This GTA is the expansion pack of the first game. This expansion game was released in 1999 for PC and PlayStation consoles. This game was set in the city of London in 1969 (according to the title). The graphics are still very humble and straightforward.
We can see the characters from the top camera in a landscape. Moving the characters while driving the car is still difficult because the camera’s viewing distance and the direction of movement are still quite hard to control. To do the mission, you have to find a public telephone scattered around the city.
The game sadly has not received much recognition as the OG GTA 1. It’s understandable since it’s an expansion.
Grand Theft Auto 2
There are not many changes in GTA 2. The mandatory things like how to do missions, weapons, and camera views are still the same. But you may notice some new things, like the adoption of 3D graphics technology intended for PC and Playstation.
There are seven gangs in this game which is quite a lot compared to GTA San Andreas. But besides that, the game also first implemented the Radio stations feature.
Grand Theft Auto 3
The GTA series was released in 2001 for Playstation 2, 2002 for PC, and 2003 for Xbox. This is the first game that uses 3-dimensional features, which means you can finally see in all directions through the player.
Set in Liberty City, you’ll follow the story of Claude speed, a character you can find in both Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2.
What’s new in GTA 3 besides its 3-dimensional gameplay?
Players can now choose which mission to complete first. There are also side missions such as vigilante, paramedic, taxi, and firefighter; then there are various new weapons such as Molotov, detonators, baseball bats, and many more.
Rockstar Announcing The GTA Trilogy Remaster
Rockstar has come with exciting news about the GTA series. No, it’s not a GTA 6, it’s still far ahead of us. On October 2021, the company announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definifive Edition which could be released sometime this year. As you may guess it, the game will include the first three games of the series.
The consoles that can receive it for the first time are PC and Consoles. But, later the list mentioned support for PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch (finally we got GTA game on the console).
PC users can find the game on Rockstar Launcher. The release date is still in question. No further information is given besides “this year”. Is it going to be 2021 or 2022? We’ll see about that in the couple of weeks.
Surprisingly, Rockstar also mentioned that the game will also be released on iOs and Android. Will the graphic look like a remasted version of GTA SA mobile? Or is there something greater waiting in the future?
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be the remaster for GTA, GTA2, and GTAIII. Remember, this is remaster not a complete overhaul. But as for the control aspect, Rockstar deepened the information by mentioning that the game will have current-game controls, probably GTA 5.
There will be gameplay improvements along with some changes you probably have waited for years.
