Grand Theft Auto is a rare video game series that transcends generations. Many of us remember the dotted bullets of the first editions on the PlayStation. They quickly evolved into epic storylines and additional extras that players loved.
The genre-defining classics of the franchise – Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – have now been remastered in the guise of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy.
Ready to be released on November 11th, you are probably desperate to learn more about the new trilogy and what it will offer. In that case, just continue reading – because the essentials are outlined underneath.
Updated Controls
Lots of people are used to the Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting that make the gameplay much more fulfilling. However, don’t fret, as updating the controls is one of the main elements of the remastered trilogy, including the same ones found in GTA V.
Therefore, aiming and locking on to targets is a piece of cake thanks to the improvements. Choosing a weapon is much less complicated, too. Another significant tweak is the mini-map, with enhanced navigation allowing you to create memorable places of interest en route to your destinations.
Better Aesthetics
GTA V highlighted how good the environment can look with enhanced visuals. So, it’s not surprising that Rockstar has decided to focus on a lighting system during the remaster. Now, San Andreas and Co will experience heightened weather conditions, lifelike reflections, and more distinctive shadows, all of which are designed to make the gameplay feel authentic.
Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas have never looked as good as they do in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – we know this thanks to the leaked footage that’s online – and it’s down to the depth that you won’t find anywhere else in the series (barring GTA V). This is because the superior resolution applies to everything from buildings to weapons and roads to and interiors.
No Casino
GTA was a franchise that brought video gaming and iGaming together in GTA: Online and GTA V. The Vinewood Casino is a firm favourite of fans, as it takes the gameplay to another level. It even officially opened to fanfare, much like a real wagering establishment!
However, it’s only available to play in certain editions of Grand Theft Auto, and none of them are included within the trilogy. Sadly, Rockstar hasn’t added the feature as of yet, so gamblers wanting to play remote slots will need to head to a popular iGaming establishments to play titles such as Book Of Ra and Book of Ra Deluxe. There are plenty, so it’s not as if you’ll have to search very far!
Greater Specs
It turns out that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will have higher specifications than Red Dead Redemption 2. Although some people may find it odd, the fact is that your system requirements must be on point if you want the game to run smoothly.
At a minimum, you’ll need 8GB of memory, an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD FX-6300 processor, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB graphic card. More importantly, you’ll require 45GB of disc space just to store it and play it. Of course, the specs should be reflected in the quality of the gameplay, which, judging by the leaked footage, is going to be epic.
What are you looking forward to the most? Is there anything you would like to see appear in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy that hasn’t been confirmed?
