Gaming is a big industry and it’s rapidly evolving with the development of technology. Gone are the days of shooting 8bit asteroids on a machine standing taller and wider than you, and in its place sits a machine small enough to carry in a backpack with the power to create games larger than your imagination. We now have the ability to sit in the comfort of our own homes playing games that have such an immersive feel that the real world almost disappears. If you want to head into battle then a first-person shooter is surely your style, amongst teammates in the heart of the battle, completing objectives for the win. Creating a new life in a new world? There are many RPGs (Role-playing games) out there that will satisfy your every need. Or what about becoming the best behind the wheel? Not everyone is blessed with the money to enter into the racing world but with the development of eSports, you can now compete at a high level through your games console. If this is the case then you can get a few accessories to help you along the way, first things first, you need to be comfortable so let’s take a look at what you should know about GTRacing chairs.
What Is A Racing Chair?
Firstly, let’s go over what these chairs are designed for. Any gamer will know that you could be sitting in front of your screen for upwards of 6 hours at a time which makes it similar to the amount of time you sit behind a desk at work. This means your comfort and looking after your posture is essential, you may find yourself not bothering for the first few months but that will change quickly when you become uncomfortable.
Racing chairs tend to look like a rally car seat to give you another feeling of reality when racing on your computer, combine it with a wheel, gear stick and pedals and you’re halfway there to a real car set up. There are many choices and customizable aspects of what your chair could be so for the finer details check out https://chairsfx.com/brands/gtracing-gaming-chairs/, as understanding your options before buying is important. You don’t want to end up with a chair that doesn’t work for you or has the wrong add-ons.
GTRacing Pro Series
The pro series is the first in the set of 3 that GTRacing offer and are their most popular, most probably down to the affordable pricing range of $130-170. There are a few aspects that GTRacing boasts with their pro series chairs and one of those features is the 2d armrests. Most chairs of this price will only offer fixed armrests, whereas GTRacing offers 2d armrests with a 2-year warranty. Almost unheard of within this price range.
All chairs come with a high-density foam padding for the neck and lumbar pillows and are covered in standard leather trim in either a 2-tone or a 3 color design. The steel frame reclines to 170 degrees and the support of the chair has a sturdy metal base.
The Pro series seats are wider than competitors and are brilliant for teenagers and slim adults weighing up to 330 pounds.
GTRacing Luxury Series
Whilst this company made their money making cheap gaming chairs, they hit the market in 2019 with a luxury range with great success. The Luxury series comes in with a price range of $195 – 245 and was so popular initially they actually sold out of 3 out of 5 models they created. Not to worry though, the factory is busy making more and will be available in the near future.
The luxury series have 4d armrests meaning you have complete control over where they sit, tilt locks, and cold foam padding. What GTRacing did was take their pro series and amp it up by modifying it with better material, better padding, more accessories and made it more sturdy for those weighing in a little over 330lbs, this model supports up to 400 pounds.
Bluetooth Music Series
Take the pro series and put a Bluetooth speaker in the top of the chair and you have the Bluetooth Music Series. This could almost be seen as a bit of a gimmick but if that’s what you’re into then, by all means, you can have the quality of a GTRacing chair with speakers built-in. It’s worth noting at this point that the range of the Bluetooth is 5 meters from the chair to the computer and the speakers do have to be charged. 3-5 hours of charge will give you 5-6 hours of music time.
If you find yourself sitting at a desk all day and then continue on into the evening by playing games then I would thoroughly recommend investing in a chair that’s going to help and support your wellbeing. Our posture is incredibly important and it’s often overlooked, that is until it’s seemingly too late. Take steps now and start to really enjoy gaming, in absolute comfort!
