Discover the new Vlambeer at the Holland Pavillion
Ten promising indie games are currently on show at the Gamescom Holland Pavilion in Cologne. The land of Vlambeer and Guerrilla Games boasts many talented developers of which the best got a spot at the booth in hall 3.2.
The Creative Industries Fund NL is sponsoring ten independent studios to present themselves at the leading European trade fair in the field of games. The annual event attracted more than 330.000 game enthusiasts in 2014, including not just European visitors but also people from Asia and North America. From 5 to 9 August 2015 all ten games are playable at the Dutch pavilion. Visitors get a glimpse into the near future of the rapidly developing indie scene.
Some of the highlights in the stand are Chalo Chalo by Sparpweed (famous for PlayStation-hit ‘ibb & obb’), Dimension Drive by 2Awesome Studio (known for trolled Kickstarter campaign), Herald by Wispfire (winner of Best Narrative Indie Prize Award at Casual Connect), Interloper by Monogon (IGF nominated in 2015), Unfated: Era of Wanderers by Ludomotion (known for puzzle hit Sumico). Also supported are Interstellar Rift by Split Polygon, Lumini by Speelbaars, Super Man Or Monster by Xform, The Intruder by Roy Merijn Theunissen and Zenzizenzic by bitHuffel.
A visit to the Holland Pavilion is worth the time anyway. Besides hosting this incredible selection of new indie games, the pavilion features nine other publishers, studios and game companies, who will be presenting themselves and their upcoming games.
At Gamescom 2015 Control Magazine in collaboration with Creative Industries Fund NL launches the first Control500 with more indie goodness from the Netherlands.
