A global local services marketplace has launched a professional Harry Potter Wizards Unite player service, where time-strapped gamers can pay someone to play on their behalf and advance in the game. It’s expected that quotes will start from £20 an hour, however if a player is required to play during the night or in bad weather, prices may be higher.
Global local services marketplace, Bark.com, has launched a professional Harry Potter Wizards Unite player service, where time-strapped gamers can pay for a pro to play on their behalf and advance in the game.
Harry Potter Wizards Unite will launch on Friday 19th June in the UK, and launched in the US on the 18th. Similar to Pokemon Go, players use their smartphones to navigate real world locations with the game’s augmented reality, and will have to complete tasks as a member of the ‘Statute of Secrecy Task Force’.
The game will include familiar faces from the hit book and film franchise, however the game follows a completely new storyline, where the player must help reign in the magical world after the ‘Calamity’; unknown forces leaking secrets to non-magical people, or ‘muggles’. Tasks will include defeating Death Eaters, finding magical items and catching magical creatures, which involves the player visiting different sites, at different times of the day. The game will also generate different tasks depending on the weather and phases of the moon.
In response to the release of the new AR location-based game, Bark.com is recruiting professional Harry Potter Wizards Unite players to help players who simply do not have the time to unlock all of the game’s achievements, and expect demand to be high based on similar services.
It’s expected that professional Wizards Unite players will charge £20 an hour, however prices may increase if a professional is playing during anti-social hours, such as in the middle of the night, or during bad weather. As with all Bark.com providers, charges are set by the individual professional.

To hire a pro player, members of the public have to answer a few simple questions, like how many hours of professional play they want to buy, during what time of the day, and what they’d like the pro to achieve.
Online platform Bark.com, Europe’s leading local services marketplace, connects customers with local professionals for any project, including accountants, cleaners, DJs, personal trainers, plumbers, web designers and wedding photographers, to name a few. Bark.com’s goal is to revolutionise how people find and sell local services online, get quotes, read reviews, message the professionals and hire – all through the website.
Kai Feller, co-founder of Bark.com said,
“Based on the popularity of Pokemon Go and the Harry Potter entertainment franchise, we expect this highly anticipated new game to be very popular. However, like other AR location-based games, it’s going to be a time consuming activity, and sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day. This is where our new service comes in, which we expect to be very popular too, so want to get as many professional Harry Potter Wizards Unite players signed up as possible.
“Players can decide exactly how many hours of professional play they would like to buy, along with what they want their player to do during those hours. I can imagine that many will be wanting to hire pro players during the night, or when it’s tipping it down, so they can still advance in the game without sacrificing their sleep or getting drenched!”
