The smorgasbord of awesome weapons available in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is only equalled by the diversity of builds that you can go for in the game. This makes it nearly impossible to find the best weapons in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, but that won’t stop us from trying.
Read on below to find out everything you need to know about weapons in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
What are the weapon types in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands have six different weapon types: assault rifles, heavy weapons, pistols, shotguns, SMGs, and Sniper Rifles.
If you’ve played Borderlands before, the weapons should feel pretty familiar. As always, assault rifles are the most versatile, capable of gunning down the opposition from close to mid-range and even from afar with minimal drop-off. Meanwhile, the heavy weapon is best for taking out multiple enemies with one massive and often spectacular explosion at the expense of slow reloads.
For those with a penchant for headshots, a “tiny” pistol can be a deadly weapon at any distance. But, if you’re not as good with your aim and prefer to get up close, Shotguns and their wide bullet spread are your best friend. SMGs are like a middle ground between heavy weapons and shotguns as you can use them to erase enemies from the face of the planet in an instant at close range.
Finally, we have the self-explanatory sniper rifles. As devastating as a single sniper rifle shot is, long-range tactics don’t work as well in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands as enemies will be constantly up in your face.
Do Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands have melee weapons?
Yes, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands have melee weapons, which have been designed by four different manufacturers.
Bonk is a company that specializes in creating blunt melee weapons like clubs (high damage) and morning stars (elemental damage) as well as hammers (critical hit damage). On the other hand, if you prefer axes, Cleave is the way to go. You can choose from great axes (high critical damage) or hatches (high critical hit chance) or kamas (high critical hit chance and damage).
Swift is the best if you like pointy sticks with their long swords (high chance for elemental damage), sabres (high chance for critical hit), and scimitars (highest attack speed). The fourth and last melee option is the Valora, which requires both hands for you to wield. You can choose from either Claymores (high base damage), Falchions (high elemental damage chance), and Greatswords (high damage and high chance for critical hit).
Are the weapon manufacturers important in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?
One of the unique things about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is that the weapon manufacturer affects the ability of a particular weapon. For example, a gun made by Blackpowder will ricochet off enemies and hit others whenever you land a critical shot or a headshot. This makes weapons manufactured by Blackpowder perfect for those with good aim.
If you prefer to switch things up, look into what Dahlia has to offer. Their weapons come with new firing modes depending on your weapon type. For example, a Dahlia assault rifle can switch between fully automatic and burst-fire modes, which is perfect for when you’re dealing with different types of situations. But, if you prefer a surprise, check out what Feriore has to offer, which transforms weapons every time you throw them away.
For added protection, Hyperius’ weapons deploy magic shields whenever you aim down the sights. In addition, Hyperius-made arms become more accurate over time. However, if you don’t like finding ammo, Skuldugger makes weapons that regenerate ammo slowly so you don’t have to worry about unloading clips onto your enemies.
Torque’s weapons are best for explosions as they make weapons more destructive so you can take out a battalion in one fell swoop.
How do Elemental Damage types work in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?
Altering your weapons in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands can make it more effective against specific enemy types save for Dark Magic, which is useful against all types of opponents as it robs them of their vitality. Fire, for example, deals more damage to enemies with red health bars while Frost does the same to enemies with white health bars. Lightning also deals extra damage if the enemy has blue health bars and poison is better when fighting against yellow health bar enemies.
What are some of the best weapons in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?
As Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a relatively new game, people are only going to discover more legendary items in time. However, the consensus is that legendary weapons are the best in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Specifically, these ones:
Liquid Cooling
Until an expected nerf, the best weapon in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands by far is Liquid Cooling.
The legendary-tier automatic pistol does an absurd amount of damage and fires fast with frost ammo that slows enemies down so much that you can literally freeze them in their tracks and make them three times as vulnerable to melee damage. But, that’s not all. Because Liquid Cooling is a Skuldugger weapon, you don’t even have to worry about ammo at all. You can just keep on shooting until you run out of ammo and wait for it to recharge and that’s it.
As if that wasn’t enough, you could technically keep on firing Liquid Cooling forever if you land critical hits and headshots.
Lil K’s Bread Slicer
If your weapon of choice is an assault rifle, you might as well work hard to get your hands on Lil K’s Bread Slicer.
Each shot you take with this assault rifle shoots out a unique projectile where three saw blades bounce along the floor and hit their intended target. Usually, these blades will come with Elemental Damage. More importantly, the Bread Slicer itself typically benefits from Fire Rate and Gun damage bonus with at least a 150% Critical Hit Chance buff, making it quite the overpowered weapon.
Goblin Pickaxe
We don’t really know if the Goblin Pickaxe is named because of how you’ll gobble more gold than you can possibly imagine or if it’s named after those small, greedy creatures often found in children’s storybooks. Either way, we don’t really care, as the Goblin Pickaxe is the absolute best if you want to get rich.
The purpose of the Goblin Pickaxe is simple – you get gold every time you deal damage to the enemy. That’s it.
As if this wasn’t enough, using the Goblin Pickaxe will also increase your movement speed while reducing your Spell Cooldown and Action Skill Cooldown rates, which is absurd when you think about it. If you use it in co-op, the Goblin Pickaxe will let you reap mountains of gold as a reward and share it with whoever it is that you are playing with.
The Goblin Pickaxe might not be the bloodiest weapon in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, but it will make it easier for you to line your pockets.
Conclusion
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands ups the ante from older Borderlands games by giving players access to magic spells and melee weapons. This opens up gameplay to an entirely new world of possibilities. But, not knowing which weapon to use, how, and why, can be detrimental to your experience.
