“I actually use it for my mobile as well” says Martin Hollerup, Managing Director at Sandberg A/S, about the latest innovation from the company: A beautifully designed keyboard, miles removed from the office tools usually associated with the word “keyboard”.
The idea behind the new keyboard from Danish firm Sandberg is to create a helper for use in many parts of the home. The first situation covered is using a computer or gaming console connected to the TV in the living room, with users surfing the web, responding to email etc. It could also be attached directly to a Bluetooth supporting Smart-TV.
The new keyboard lets you lean back and relax, rather than having to navigate an arrow over a virtual on-screen keyboard with a remote control or joypad, or even kneeling in front of the connected computer when keying things in. As well as the keyboard, there is a touch pad on the right, suitable for use as a mouse.
The keyboard is wireless via Bluetooth. This makes it suitable for use with a tablet, such as an iPad – or even with a mobile phone, if you wanted to quickly respond to a couple of emails.
