CHRONO TRIGGER by Square Enix Ltd has received its third update today on steam.
The patch includes updates for the following
- to Game UI: In addition to the UI changes introduced in the previous patch, new changes have been made to further improve the game experience for both users with a gamepad and keyboard. These changes can be seen on the world map, in towns and dungeons, within shop menus, during time warps, and during unique scenarios such as how narrative choices and mini-games are displayed. Players can change the UI based on their preference between gamepad/keyboard or mouse in the game’s settings or when starting a new game.
- Quality-of-Life Improvements to Battles: Improvements have been made to the battle screen, including the added functionality to turn pages within menus with a simple button press, and changes to the duration of description windows, amongst others.
- Performance Updates: Additional changes have been made to further improve the gameplay and avoid the game being slowed down in certain areas.
- Additional changes have also been made to better balance the difficulty of some mini-games and fix several bugs.
A fourth patch will be released for CHRONO TRIGGER in late-June, which will continue to make improvements to the game’s overall UI, along with final changes to menu UI and the title screen. Additionally, key assignment functionality for gamepad/keyboard/mouse will be supported in this next patch.
