Publisher Grindstone and developer Triple Hill Interactive have released three exciting new vlogs offering you an exclusive behind the scenes look at their upcoming sword fighting action game Die by the Blade. With the Kickstarter campaign now confirmed to go live on 13th October 2020, Grindstone is opening up its doors and revealing some of the fascinating work involved in delivering on the tense, one-hit-kill gameplay you can expect when the game launches in 2021.
The first vlog, hosted by community executive Erik ‘Ekolimits’ Kovac, introduces you to Die by the Blade and how the team is creating the tense action gameplay experiences where one wrong move might seal your fate.
Vlog #2 introduces how the combat and one-hit-kill damage system will work and takes you behind the scenes of a motion capture session where real, traditional sword fighting experts show off their skills.
The weapon you choose in Die by the Blade will be key to your survival during battle. In vlog #3, Ekolimits takes you through some of the different weapons and explains how each weapon will offer a very different combat experience for the player.
A special video has also been released revealing details of one of the top tier pledge rewards available when the Kickstarter campaign is live. The Mask of Oni reward will be strictly limited to 10 units and is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship.
