Holiday camp for kids and teens offering week-long tech courses from £350
Fire Tech Camp (www.firetechcamp.com) for kids is returning to London this October half term with a number of progressive educational courses, perfect for young tech enthusiasts and creative makers aged between nine and 17 years old.
First launched in 2013, the holiday camp for kids and teens has grown significantly in the past two years with increased demand for courses throughout the year. With over 800 attendees throughout summer 2015, Fire Tech Camp is excited to offer even more opportunities for campers to try their hand at maker practices including 3D printing and rapid prototyping, or increase their knowledge of computing systems such as Arduino.
Have a look at some of what Fire Tech is offering this half term:
- Video game enthusiasts can switch roles from game player to game maker with the five day ‘Video Game Design’ course. Gamers can learn the skills to create their own video game and will leave with an original creation that can be played on the web or a smartphone. A five day ‘Video Game Design’ course costs £350 and takes place at FabLab London between 26 and 30 October 2015.
- Tech enthusiasts can get stuck in and design their own app on the five day ‘Mobile App Design’ course. Nine to 12-year-olds on the course will learn the practical elements involved in designing and implementing applications for all mobile devices. A five day ‘Mobile App Design’ course costs £350 and takes place at FabLab London between 26 and 30 October 2015.
- ‘Rapid Prototyping: Intro to Making and 3D Printing’ is a five day course, which gets kids excited about making with a blend of design, engineering and craft. A five day Rapid Prototyping: Intro to Making and 3D Printing’ course costs £585 and takes place at FabLab London between 19 and 23 October 2015.
