Gamdias Zeus P1 Mouse Review

The Gamdias Zeus P1 mouse is a very different mouse to what I usually use. I don’t have all the fancy buttons or the colours, I just use my generic mice. Switching to this mouse, I don’t see myself going back. The side/top buttons are just convenient to have, especially the ‘on-the-fly DPI switching’. But first off, we start with the packaging;

The box has a clear view of what the mouse has to offer, the lights running along the edges, the programmable buttons, and the grips. On the front, it specifies that there is Double Level RGB Customizable Streaming Lighting, and has up to 12,000 DPI for those of you with mouse mats the size of a flea.

It says about the Textured Rubber Side Grips, 8 Smart Keys, Adjustable DPI, and the Ergonomic Design. Along the side are the specs and dimensions;

First Impressions

Lights. Colours. Fancy.

It’s an eye-catcher from as soon as you plug it in. The lights instantly start a wavle along the edges of the mouse, and the edge of the underbelly. These lights can be changed to fade in and out, or to react on a click instead. A triangular ‘Zeus’ symbol lights up on the palm of the mouse, and fades to black and back to bright. The colour of this symbol does change depending on the DPI setting, from low to high;

Red/Orange/Green/Light Blue/Dark Blue/Pink.

On the LMB, there is a small logo for the Gamdias company, but unfortunately does not light up.

The side grips are textured, and noticeable, but don’t seem to do much in my opinion. It seems that it builds up a lot of sweat/grease or whatever and it loses it’s grip slightly, but that might just be because it’s rubber.

The clicks are fantastic. They have a decent loudness to them that is just a nice ring to the ears. The clicks other than the LMB and the RMB, namely the side two buttons (Forward/Back) and the DPI switching buttons on top.

This mouse runs smoothly. The pads on the bottom allow it to run very smoothly along my mouse mat, though on a rough surface, there is a scratching that isn’t the most exciting thing to hear.

The ability to change the DPI on the fly is very good for gamers. Being able to change the sensitivity when needed if you have character preferences per example. The programmable buttons allow for quick melees or callout options to help your team, furthering your gaming experience.
