A Red Panda Named Keir (pronounced: Keer), an ex-chef, who, during an accident in his kitchen lost his tail. His world got turned upside after that fateful event, lost his job, started suffering from depression and turned to drink to cope with the world around him.
Some time has passed, not knowing how long, Keir wakes up after a dream that truly inspires him to step out of his underwhelming apartment, and take on the world, the only issue is, he has a massive hangover.
As he steps out into the world he once knew, something is not quite right, things have changed, and everything looks sort of weird. A world in which humans and anthropomorphic animals lived together as one, now apart. A more hostile anthropomorphic creature’s now inhabit the world, as small groups of friendly creatures hide and group together to protect themselves from these new types of creatures spawning from what looks like, Dark Holes, possibly portals to another world.
Many of the creatures he remembers have gone; only birds and amphibians seem to be among the only races left, it is unsettling for him, so many friends, so many other creatures he used to know, missing, gone, who knows, the worse thing is, it is now a fight for survival.
As Keir begins to explore the new world he has entered, he needs to find a way to survive himself, a way to move past his addiction for drink and work through his depression, but how this is not the world he remembers, strange mushrooms are everywhere, as he eats one he finds out that they give him ‘special abilities’, so he looks around and finds different coloured mushrooms, scattered all around, each of them offers a special ability, he feels like a superhero.
Mushrooms are all well and good, but this is not a world where being Super Mario is going to help much, you need weapons and he has knives, knives and more knives, come on, Keir is a Chef after all. To make life a little easier, Keir brings along his trusty chef bags, you start small and you can upgrade to large to hold even more KNIVES.
If things go well, as a stretch goal, Keir might be able to upgrade his gear for even better gear to take on the hordes in his mind or….
