CCP and Leap Motion Also Bringing Exciting New VR Experiences to Iceland’s Newest Gaming Conference
Slush PLAY begins tomorrow April 28th and prolific start-up companies from the Nordic gaming industry will be given the chance to competitively pitch their best gaming ideas in front of a panel of expert judges. Each team will have a rapid paced three minute window to sell their idea before a two minute Q&A follow up.
The winner, as chosen by the judges, will receive 2 tickets to Slush Helsinki in November as well as a demo booth at the event for free. Confirmed entrants so far include Sólfar VR, Radient Games and Aldin Dynamics promising a well-rounded mix of VR/gaming ideas in this heated pitching battle.
Alongside the competition, CCP and Leap Motion are bringing their newest VR experiences to the show, pioneering new and inventive ways to experience VR technology. CCP will be presenting their VR Labs with a demo of Valkyrie playable on the show floor. Leap Motion will provide a series of virtual and augmented reality demos that illustrate the real power of having your hands in VR.
Slush PLAY is a brand new conference that has been organised in conjunction with the Slush executive team, Klak Innovit and the Nordic Gaming Institute that will focus primarily on gaming and virtual reality. Alongside the pitching competition will be two days of talks from big industry names such as Valve, CCP and Unity.
The event will be held at the newly renovated Gamla Bíó in the heart of the city.
