In a special livestream, the Star Wars The Old Republic development team unveiled exciting details about Game Update 7.5, featuring thrilling additions set to arrive soon. Here’s a summary of the highlights:
- 1. New Main Story Chapter – “Desperate Defiance”: Following the events of “Chains in the Dark,” players will recruit Sa’har as a new companion and embark on a risky mission to retrieve the holocron and uncover more of Heta’s plans. The journey takes players back to Hutta amidst a worker rebellion in the Minboosa District, where they’ll confront “Yusinduu the Hutt,” a seemingly legitimate businessman.
- 2. Dantooine Farmstead and Spring Abundance Festival: Players will have the opportunity to manage a farmstead on Dantooine, stepping away from combat temporarily. The Spring Abundance Festival offers various activities like seed collecting, dancing, pie baking, animal rehabilitation, and a galactic egg hunt.
- 3. The First of Many Single Player Ventures: Introducing challenging single-player ‘Ventures,’ starting with the Basilisk Prototype. Players will train up the Basilisk Prototype B3-S1, also known as Bessie, to become a companion. Gradual training is required to unlock B3-S1’s full combat potential.
- 4. New PvP Seasons Release Schedule: PvP seasons will now align with update launches, with Season 6 starting alongside Update 7.5.
- 5. Cartel Market Updates: Players can expect new items like the High-Republic themed Refined Mentor Lightsaber, Dualsaber, Armor set, and the Hidden Chain Jetpack Mount. Additionally, there are more player character customizations including the Ahsoka-inspired Baylan beard and enhanced dye packs.
- 6. Public Test Server (PTS) Begins: Players can test much of the new content (excluding narrative missions) on the PTS in the coming days.
Keep an eye out for the official launch date announcement for Update 7.5, coming soon. Exciting times lie ahead for Star Wars: The Old Republic players!
