EA and Respawn are turning up the heat for Apex Legends Takeover, dropping fresh content, massive gameplay changes, and a celebration of the game’s 6th Anniversary!
What’s New in Takeover?
- Creator Commissioners – Your favorite content creators are calling the shots! Complete their unique challenges to unlock Legendary Weapon Skins and Apex Pack rewards solo or with the community.
- Arsenals – These new weapon stations bring every gun of a single ammo type to your fingertips. Spot them from the sky, plan your drop, and kit up like a pro.
- Meta Changes – Assault Legends get Extra Firepower and Armed and Dangerous perks, boosting ammo, grenade slots, weapon handling, and movement speed on shield breaks. Oh, and every single weapon just got a buff.
- Road to Ranked – No more free rides! Players must now prove their skills by completing Road to Ranked Challenges before unlocking competitive mode.
- Anniversary Event – 36 Legendary+ event items, Heirloom Shards, and the first-ever Mythic R-301! Plus, complete challenges to unlock community-made rewards.
- Mythic R-301 – A Wraith-inspired masterpiece with three unlockable tiers, void-themed visuals, fresh animations, and a new suite of sounds. Try it out in Mythic Mayhem Royale with fully kitted R-301 variants—Red for aggression, Yellow for speed, and Green for support.
Apex Legends: Takeover launches February 11 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam).
