Turning a New Leaf [Day 1 – 14/06/2013]
Morning guys! Heck it may not even be the morning when you’re reading this but it is the early hours of the morning that I am writing this so I felt it was appropriate. At the time of writing Animal Crossing: New Leaf has JUST been released (it’s one minute after midnight) and the game has nearly installed already – sweet! To give you an idea of what’s going on below… I am going to be posting a diary of sorts on my events in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the first few days. It’ll be written as if I am the character in-game – so enjoy!
Want to play along with me? Leave your name in the comments and I’ll be more than happy to!
So here I am on the train on the way to a new town, it’s about time I moved out and explored the world on my own two feet. It’s pretty relaxing… wait… is that cat coming over to talk to me? Yep as usual strangers find it appropriate to come and talk to me but I thought I’d be polite, after all I don’t want to make a bad impression! The fella wanted to know the time though we got chatting and he wanted to know where I was off to and who I was. Well for those of you who don’t know my name is Nathan and I’m moving to LostWind today, I haven’t sorted out a house but I’m sure something will come up as I get into town!
The train just pulled up in LostWind and as I exited the station a welcoming ceremony was waiting for me. For some reason I was mistaken as the mayor of the town – heck that’s not right. I mean how easy is it to becoming a mayor these days? Well I had to play along with it, maybe it won’t be that bad playing mayor of LostWind! I followed this lovely girl to the town hall, well she wasn’t a girl – more of a dog. Her name was Isabelle and it turned out she was my assistant which would help me carry out mayor-esque tasks. Before long it turned out not having a home was an issue, therefore I was sent to Nook’s Houses to sort out housing.
The journey through the village was peaceful and quaint as I passed several villagers which were happy to welcome me to the town and give me tips on how to settle in – this was definitely the best town to move to. I then crossed the train tracks up to where Nook’s Home was found. As I talked to Nook he asked me to show him where I wished my house to be placed. Now I decided it was best to put it near a beautiful waterfall near the cliff side; a perfect place for fishing and a lovely view – what a brilliant place to put the house. While the price of the house was being written up Nook supplied me with a tent, wow this guys pretty generous!!
After heading back to the Town Hall Isabelle noted my address down and then started a ceremony. The ceremony was to celebrate my first day of mayor of LostWind, the whole village was there to watch as I planted a sapling of my arrival. It was a brilliant event and the whole of LostWind seem proud and happy to have me as their new mayor.
It had been a late night so far with the events finishing off at about 1:30 am, so I think it’s time for bed. I’ll wake up later in the day to see what else is going on…
Well it’s the end of my first day in town as I write this. Today I did some great things after I woke up! I visited a friends village and was able to pick up their local fruit which was pears – in LostWind our local fruit is Peaches so Pears sell for a fortune here. Isabelle has been helping me get my town permit today, currently I am at 79% so hopefully tomorrow I can finish applying for my town permit.
Tomorrow is going to be a big day in LostWind for me. I am going to have a home (it’s been less than 24 hours but I know a tent isn’t for me) at last which will be great to chill in and decorate. Also I should have that wonderful town permit which will help me start working on making LostWind a better place.
For tonight I am going to stay at home and get some sleep. I already know LostWind is going to be a great place to live and I have a feeling everyday is going to be as fun as the last.
