While many are still pleased with watching TV in HD quality, technical standards have already taken another step further, namely to 4K. And some are already asking for the follow-up, namely 8k. However, it will probably be a long time before the latter is generally widespread.
The 4K standard is supported by the equivalent DisplayPort standards, DP 1.2 and Mini-DP 1.2. On the Android side, it is MHL 3.0 that implements 4K video quality. HDMI 1.4, which also supports 4K, has been on the market since 2014.
Sandberg, which is always on the cutting edge when it comes to supporting new standards, is now offering a complete line of adapters and cables that support the new standards. Everything is naturally backwards-compatible.
