As a part of worldwide research, trainers (anyone, including your physics tutor) need to be available for different research tasks.
The research tasks are categorized into, and every research will contribute to Field Research and Special Research.
While undertaking Field Research, you will have to spin the nearby Pokestops. The Pokestops will give you objectives including discovery and catching specific Pokemon. You could engage in battles.
Under Special Research, you get requests from Professor Willow who will take you on special journeys to help you make great discoveries.
What do you get from participating in the research?
By taking part in either research, you, and all the other Trainers get great rewards. The rewards include useful items, as well as encounters with specific Pokemon.
The best part is that you can complete as many tasks as you can, every day. Since the tasks have different levels of difficulty, you should get ready for adventure-filled days.
Also, the tougher your research tasks, the greater the reward.
Stamps
If you complete one Field Research task in a day, you earn one stamp. Why is this important? Well, in case you get seven stamps, then you could win even greater rewards, including a chance to have an encounter with a legendary Pokemon.
Challenges
The challenges presented in the research tasks will enhance your capabilities of discovering, catching and battling Pokemon.
