The Call of Duty League (CDL) is back again this weekend for its final Home Series before the 2020 Season Playoffs and Championship Weekend. The Toronto Ultra Home Series will see the leading four teams take part, with Atlanta FaZe, Dallas Empire, Florida Mutineers and the Chicago Huntsmen all battling it out for the top spot before the finals. They will be joined by Seattle Surge, OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, Toronto Ultra and Minnesota Røkkr, who will be trying to secure their spots in the winners draw in what is set to be a dramatic final round of the season.
The results of the Toronto Home Series could have big consequences for both the London Royal Ravens and Paris Legion. Both teams are currently sitting at the bottom end of the winner’s playoff seeds, with Paris Legion looking like they could be relegated to the Elimination playoffs if Toronto Ultra and OpTic Gaming Los Angeles do well.
Where can I watch it?
The CDL Toronto Home Series takes place 24th –26th July and can be watched only on YouTube Gaming.
The opening match of the tournament will see Atlanta FaZe facing off against Minnesota Røkkr at 9pm BST.
Day 2 will start at 6pm BST with the last day of competition and final matches taking place on Sunday 26th July starting 9pm BST.
What happened last time?
Last weekend’s 2020 Call of Duty League (CDL) action saw Dallas Empire dominate, cruising to a 3-0 win over Paris Legion in the grand final and only losing one map over the entire weekend.
After two semi-final defeats in their last two home series, Dallas Empire showed their ability by defeating two of the most in-form teams in the league on the way to the final, the New York Subliners and Florida Mutineers. The 50 CDL points Dallas earned for the win saw them move into second place in the 2020 standings, with one weekend of CDL action left. Atlanta FaZe remain in top spot on 250 points, with Dallas Empire (240) in second and Florida Mutineers (220) in third.
