The Future Games Show Delivers Over 70 Announcements and Reveals
The Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2026 returned with another packed event featuring world premieres, long-awaited updates, major gameplay reveals and release date announcements from both AAA publishers and independent developers. Hosted by Alix Wilton Regan and Troy Baker, the showcase highlighted more than 40 games before handing over to FGS Live From Los Angeles for an additional wave of reveals and developer presentations.

Arizona Sunshine

WARDOGS
This 100-player tactical warfare shooter showcased large-scale battles where player decisions directly impact available equipment and resources. Unlike many modern shooters, it avoids battle royale and extraction mechanics in favour of all-out warfare.
The Pines
A psychological horror adventure that follows a former detective investigating a mysterious facility. A new trailer provided a closer look at exploration, characters and the game’s unsettling atmosphere.
ACE COMBAT 8: Wings of Theve
Bandai Namco finally provided additional details about the next entry in the long-running flight combat franchise. The developers discussed the story and confirmed a launch date of October 2, 2026.
Little Nightmares III: The Backstage
Bandai Namco revealed brand-new DLC that takes players beneath the twisted carnival setting known as The Carnevale. The expansion launches on June 12, 2026.
Enginefall
Set aboard gigantic moving trains crossing a ruined world, Enginefall combines extraction gameplay with survival and base-building systems. A public playtest is scheduled for June.
Gothic 1 Remake
The long-awaited remake of the classic RPG received its launch trailer during the showcase and is now available across PC and consoles.
Sky: Children of the Light – Dear Van Gogh
thatgamecompany unveiled a special artistic collaboration inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. Players will be able to experience iconic artwork and themed content beginning July 17.
Halloween: The Game
A new gameplay presentation focused on the single-player campaign, allowing players to witness Michael Myers’ transformation into one of horror’s most iconic killers.
Realm of Ink
The stylish martial arts roguelite showcased its unique visual design and fast-paced combat as it officially launched on PC and consoles.
Duskfade
Inspired by classic 3D platformers, Duskfade combines action-adventure gameplay with a magical steampunk setting and arrives on August 13, 2026.
