At some point in the past few years, all of us probably watched at least one power washing video on social media, and we realized how oddly satisfying it is to use a power wash tool to remove the grime and dirt. Thanks to FuturLab, we finally get to feel that satisfaction for ourselves in the form of a game called PowerWash Simulator.
It is probably the most relaxing game to play right now, and we highly recommend you to get the game or subscribe to Xbox Game Pass as it is worth every penny. Just grab some Xbox Live Gift Cards from OffGamers here to get yourself started.
On the other hand, if you have it already and you are planning to play it, then this list will most likely help you complete your power washing jobs easier and faster.
Make Use of Your Tablet
In PowerWash Simulator, you are able to select what jobs you want to finish first. These can be cars, motorcycles, houses, backyards and many more. Once you select a job, you will have to start right away.
Your tablet has a lot of things that it can do. It is basically a menu option, but it can do other things such as selecting other jobs or challenges, getting an overview of the job you are working on like seeing the percentage of completion of the job and how much you have earned, and reading funny and weird messages from people.
This is where you can also find the shop to buy upgrades and other items you can use for power washing.
Highlight Dirt to Check Your Progress
Each job has a set of things you need to clean to get a 100% on the job. PowerWash Simulator has a highlight feature if you want to see how much dirt is still on the part that you are cleaning, which is definitely helpful in completing the job perfectly and spotless.
It is most helpful when you are stuck at 90% and you are not sure which part you have not cleaned yet, it can easily help you look. Simply aim for at the spot with the Highlight Dirt feature.
If you cannot see the dirt, just open up your tablet and check which one does not have a complete status yet.
Master Your Nozzle Knowledge
PowerWash Simulator has multiple nozzles you can use, and each has its own pros and cons. At the start of the game, you have four main nozzles you can use to complete a job. These nozzles are already enough to complete any job at the start.
- 0 Degree Nozzle – is the most powerful among the four nozzles, but the area of effect is very small, which means it is not as efficient. It is mostly used for cleaning specific dirt that you cannot reach.
- 15 Degree Nozzle – is probably the most used nozzle as it can remove all dirt you encounter with a much bigger area of effect than the 0 Degree Nozzle.
- 25 Degree Nozzle – is the most balanced in terms of power and area of effect. It can remove most dirt and stains, although you may want to do another round to remove the hardest dirt sometimes.
- 40 Degree Nozzle – is the weakest among the nozzles, but it has the biggest area of effect. Some people do not use this, but I like using it at the start to remove a lot of dirt at once, then use either a 15 or 25 Degree Nozzle to finish the dirt with more precision.
By the way, 15, 25, and 40 Degree Nozzles can be rotated, which is handy when you are removing grime on tough places.
There will be more nozzles you can buy in the shop, but most of the time, you do not need them.
Alternate Big Jobs and Small Jobs
There are plenty of jobs in PowerWash Simulator, and it is a good thing that they give you small jobs or big jobs, which is a nice change of pace most of the time.
If you are done with a big job, it is best to take a break and do a small job. It will be easier, and it is more fulfilling than going to another big job that may take half an hour to complete.
You can also job hop if needed, as sometimes, you may need to upgrade your power wash tools but need more cash before doing so. Do not worry, your progress in the job will not reset anyway.
Save Up to Buy A More Powerful Washer
As mentioned earlier, there are so many items in the shop that you may accidentally splurge on, and you will realize that you do not really need them.
Our advice is to just save up your money at the start until you can buy a more powerful washer. Why? Well, because most extensions and upgrades are tied to a specific washer.
You might end up spending more if you upgrade your starting washer, and then you buy a new powerful one later compared to just saving more money at the start, and once you have the cash, then buy a more powerful one. You can splurge the upgrade on the new washer as well.
Soaps Are Good, But Not Required
One of the reasons that can drain your hard-earned money in PowerWash Simulator is buying soaps. Yes, they can help you remove dirt and stains quickly depending on the type of material, but it is not needed to use them early in the game.
One litre of any soap costs too much in my opinion, and if you do not have a powerful washer yet, it can be emptied rather quickly without doing a lot of dirt removal.
I suggest using soap when it is necessary, or if you already have a powerful washer. Otherwise, stick to your starting nozzles.
Utilize Stairs, Crouching, and Precise Aiming
Each job has a unique style to it, and sometimes you need to climb up, look down, or do some precise aiming to complete a section in the job.
If you are cleaning a house, you need stairs to go to the roof and clean it. You can also crouch to be able to clean the dirt below the trims and chairs.
Lastly, you can do precise aiming in the game where you can precisely control the power wash tool to completely wipe the dirt out, which is incredibly helpful on gutters and below the wooden trims.
Conclusion
Our last tip is to just enjoy the game. It is not competitive, and there is no timer. You simply have to relax, sit back, and start washing the dirt away until completed. It is a very wholesome and satisfying experience.
