i there! The name is Barge, but you can call me Adam. I come from the New Forest, which means I was pretty cut off from civilisation as a child, so the options were go outside or stay in the dark and play video games all day… no points for guessing which one I opted for. My love for games grew from Nintendo classics like Pokemon, Zelda and Mario and grew much deeper when I was a teenager and I fell in love with games like Beyond Good & Evil and Knight of the Old Republic. These days I play all variety of games but I do have a particular love of stealth games. I tend to look at a game as a whole piece of media, I like to think about how the pieces interlink and how the experience is developed by singular elements of a game building on top of each other. This mise en scène approach to reviewing comes from by background in theatre which also affords me a strong sense of good acting and dramatization in video games.

Super Cloudbuilt Review

Back in 2014, I bought Cloudbuilt on steam and had a blast. It was a time in my life when I had just discovered the joy of free running in my video games so I was all over that like…

Death Squared Review (Nintendo Switch)

Puzzles games are an odd genre aren’t they? There’s something inherently dry about he way you interact with their mechanics, compared to more combat orientated games. I think its fair to say that most of us would much prefer to…

AereA Review

I remember in secondary school, I had a massive crush on this one girl. I never did anything about it, I was shy and she was gorgeous. She had this unique quirk to her that the other girls didn’t, just…

Dell Latitude 3189 Education 2 in 1 Review

Unfortunately, I am no longer a student. I graduated from university a while ago now, and while I long to be a fresher again, I’m stuck being a fully fledged member of society. So I may not be the exact…

Scalpers: Turtle and the Moonshine Gang First Look

I love the Wild West. Even more than the wild west though, I love the faux Wild West. Think along the lines of Wild Guns or Oddworld: Strangers Wrath, games with all the trappings of a cowboy story, but with…

DYING: Reborn VR Version Review

I feel like I’m cursed to forever review games with tortuous titles. DYING on its own, would be a fine enough title, pretty run of the mill, but fine. However its the reborn aspect that I take issue to, because…

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Review

Honestly, I can’t help but feel like Resident Evil 7 has been falsely marketed. Trailers, posters and the thrice updated demo all make the latest entry in the RE franchise look like its capitalising on the Outlast, Amnesia, Slender (etc…)…

Criminal Girls: Invite Only Review

Criminal Girls is a very competent and enjoyable dungeon JRPG, which does just about everything you would expect a Dungeon JRPG to do and does it well. I’d describe it as a very middle of the road type of good…

Air Race Speed Review

I once walked past a grocery shop called “Good Food” and immediately fell in love with the simplicity of it all. You know that when you walk into that store you’ll be getting food of a decent quality. I love…

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak: Special Gigs Review

Once more I am called upon to review a game that’s title was clearly made in a freak Boggle and Lawnmower accident. Once more into the breach I go. You all read the title so from this point on the…
