Indie developer Midgard Studio and publisher Dear Villagers have released a new trailer for their upcoming JRPG Edge Of Eternity – an eight-minute gameplay preview. Voiced by actor Micah Solusod who voices Daryon, the preview showcases the characters, worlds and stories that players will discover when they take their long-awaited journey through the land of Heryon.
Edge of Eternity will release in full on PC on June 8th with a massive launch update that adds 10 hours of additional gameplay and brings the game’s story to an end. The JRPG is also coming to PS4 + 5, Xbox One + Series X and Game Pass in Q4 2021.
In a world torn asunder, the people of Heryon pursue a desperate war against a mysterious invader. As this conflict opposing magic and technology grows to cataclysmic proportions, a new threat emerges from the battlefield. Wage epic turn-based battles as you follow Daryon and Selene in their quest to find a cure to the all-consuming Corrosion and save the world of Heryon.
Edge Of Eternity is developed by a small indie team based in the south of France. The game was made possible by over 4000 fans who supported the game via a successful Kickstarter campaign. The crowdfunding was so successful that Midgard Studio was able to work with the legendary JRPG composer of Chrono Trigger Yasunori Mitsuda.
“Making a JRPG as a small indie studio is, obviously, a huge undertaking,” said Jeremy Zeler, founder of Midgar Studios. “I’m so grateful to all the people in the community who’ve helped make this crazy dream a reality. Everyone on the team is excited for the launch. It’s going to be epic!”
