After a successful summer of betrayals and showcasing Project Winter internationally, the team at Other Ocean is now bringing you the first DLC pack for the game… Project Winter: Blackout. This action packed DLC will bring you everything you need just in time for the spookiest time of the year. This includes a brand new game mode with unique roles for THE traitor, a whole new map that incites even more fear and paranoia, new survivor roles and brand new items and weapons!
Project Winter is an 8-person, multiplayer game focused on social deception and survival where players are randomly assigned to the role of Traitor or Survivor. Players must gather resources, repair structures, and brave the wilderness together – but beware of traitors within the group who will be steadily gaining strength as the match progresses and whose only goal is to stop the survivors by any means necessary. The DLC introduces a brand new game mode, where there is only one traitor who is trying to convert the rest of the players into joining their side; their goal is to take control and wipe out the remaining survivors. There are several ways to convert traitors based on what role you acquire, it’s up to you to find out which one is your favourite!
Project Winter: Blackout will be available for download on the Steam store on October 31 for a price of USD 6.99. The DLC will be on a 25% off sale for the first week of release. The game and subsequent DLC was developed in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador as well as Charlottetown, PEI with valued support from the Canada Media Fund.
Key DLC Features
- New Game Mode: A twist on the classic Traitor vs Survivors game mode, now there are the Demon and Whisperer roles for the traitor, yes THE traitor. One traitor per game and this game mode focuses on converting survivors to your team. The game is over once all survivors either escape, die or are converted.
- New Traitor Roles: Play as either the Demon or the Whisperer. The Demon has the ability to forcefully convert survivors to the traitors team once they are in a downed state, while the Whisperer slowly converts survivors by infiltrating their midst.
- New Map: A brand new map for Supernatural expansion games. Explore a new, smaller, nighttime map with new special locations, interactable objects, and events.
- New Survivor Roles: Unlock new Survivor Roles such as the Medium, Hunter, Padre, and Yeti.
