Disruptive Games has confirmed that its upcoming co-op extraction adventure Wreck Runners will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S alongside the previously announced PC version. The chaotic multiplayer title is set to arrive on July 16, 2026, bringing its unique blend of treasure hunting, survival, exploration, and comedy to players across all major platforms.
Set within the mysterious waters of the Bermuda Triangle, Wreck Runners combines cooperative gameplay with extraction mechanics, challenging teams of up to four players to venture into dangerous environments in search of valuable salvage while avoiding the many threats lurking within.

Welcome to the Bermuda Triangle
Players take on the role of employees working for the suspiciously cheerful Trustwell Corporation, a company that appears more interested in profits than employee wellbeing. Sent deep into the Bermuda Triangle, players are tasked with recovering valuable loot from a region plagued by supernatural events, dangerous wildlife, and environmental hazards.
The setting offers a mix of tropical beauty and unsettling mystery. While the islands and oceans may initially appear inviting, an ever-present force known simply as “The Fog” threatens to consume everything in its path. Trustwell may insist everything is under control, but the game’s premise suggests there is far more going on beneath the surface.
Co-Op Extraction Gameplay with a Twist
Unlike traditional extraction shooters, Wreck Runners leans heavily into cooperative problem-solving and physics-driven gameplay. Teams will use a specialised tool known as the Scrapjack, a grappling device capable of pulling, dragging, and retrieving loot from difficult locations.
The physics-based mechanics create opportunities for both clever teamwork and complete chaos, as players attempt to secure valuable cargo while dealing with unpredictable environmental conditions. Whether recovering treasure from a sinking wreck or attempting to haul oversized salvage back to safety, communication and coordination will be essential.
Supporting the team is the ORCA, a versatile vehicle capable of travelling across both land and water. This all-terrain transport allows players to navigate the Triangle’s ever-changing landscape while carrying recovered loot back to extraction points.
Danger Around Every Corner
No two expeditions are designed to play out the same way. According to Disruptive Games, each run will feature unpredictable encounters, environmental hazards, and mysterious creatures that inhabit the collapsing world.
Players must balance risk and reward as they push deeper into dangerous areas in search of better loot. Staying out too long could mean losing everything, while a successful extraction can provide valuable resources that help improve future runs.
The ever-encroaching Fog adds another layer of tension, forcing teams to make difficult decisions about when to continue exploring and when it’s time to head for safety.
Progression and Customisation
Between expeditions, players can invest their earnings into a range of upgrades and customisation options. Better equipment can improve survival chances, while cosmetic rewards allow crews to personalise their appearance.
This progression system gives players long-term goals beyond individual extraction runs, encouraging repeated adventures into the Bermuda Triangle as they build stronger and more capable teams.
Launching This July
With its combination of cooperative exploration, extraction gameplay, physics-driven tools, and a mysterious supernatural setting, Wreck Runners is shaping up to be one of the more unusual multiplayer releases of 2026.
Wreck Runners launches on July 16, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
