Rainbow Six Siege the UK Ireland Nationals starts Summer 2020

Ubisoftannounced a new esports league for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – the UK Ireland Nationals, starting in Summer 2020.

The UK Ireland Nationals will include 8 teams, starting out with the ‘round robin’ group stages. The top teams will then progress into the play-offs, with the very best teams going head to head in the Finals. The League aims to bridge the gap between semi-professional and professional esports, and will include a Second Division directly feeding into the top tier – The UK Ireland Nationals. The Second Division will be for players who aspire to play at the top level nationally, giving them the opportunity to hone their skills and prove themselves, with the best teams qualifying for promotion to The UK Ireland Nationals.

The League will start in Summer 2020 with weekly broadcasts taking place on Thursdays from 2^nd July to 27^th August, reaching its pinnacle with the Finals on 5^th and 6^th September 2020. The UK Ireland Nationals will continue with Spring and Summer Seasons in 2021.

The UK Ireland Nationals 2020 marks the start of the transition into the new regional esports system that was announced at the Six Invitational 2020 in February. More information on how this will fit within the global format, and the registration and qualification process for the new UK Ireland Nationals, will be shared at a later date.

The matches will be streamed live on the UK Rainbow Six Siege Twitch channel, and updates will be available on the UK Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege social media pages.
