Ubisoft UK announced a new Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege esports league as part of the UK Ireland Nationals, the UK Ireland Nationals Second Division. Ubisoft’s new programme hopes to help up and coming esports teams progress into the main national league and beyond.
This season will support 10 emerging teams. Ubisoft will be working closely with tournament partners NSE and The NUEL, epic.LAN & one more partner soon to be announced, to fill four team spots from their tournament winners. Plus two teams will be relegated from the first division of UK Ireland Nationals Summer 2020. For the remaining four team spots, players will be able to take part in the open qualifiers for a chance to join the UK Ireland Second Division.

On the week commencing 12th October, Ubisoft will announce the winning teams from the partner tournaments, NSE and The NUEL, epic.LAN and another soon to be announced. The open qualifiers for the remaining four teams will then take place on 17th – 18th October. On 19th October, Ubisoft will announce the final 10 teams taking part in the new UK Ireland Nationals Second Division.
From the 5th November, the UK Ireland Nationals Second Division will kick off. The teams will compete across a 5-week season, with two ‘playdays’ a week. These ‘playdays’ will take place on Thursdays and Saturdays (10 ‘playdays’ in total).
At the end of the 5-week season, the top four teams will enter a final bracket. The winner from each match will be our two selected teams that join the UK Ireland Nationals Spring Season 2021! All the other teams will have the chance to qualify for the next season of UK Ireland Nationals Second Division, through their chosen route.
Three grassroots competitions will qualify directly into the UK Ireland Nationals Second Division NSE and The NUEL, Epic.LAN and one more soon to be announced.
