Team Vitality’s CS:GO roster has taken the #1 spot on the prestigious HLTV World ranking establishing themselves as the best team in the world.
I wanted to share details in case this is of interest for news, and images of the team can be found here.
In a first for the organisation, the ranking sees Team Vitality take the #1 spot with an impressive 873 points which is 40 points above its nearest rival with Heroic in second on 833 points.
The prominent ranking comes after a series of excellent and consistent in-game performances over the last few months at the BLAST Premier Spring Europe Final, cs_summit 6 Europe, and most recently ESL One Cologne.
Team Vitality is made up of the undisputed best CS:GO player in the world, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, CS:GO legends Richard “shox” Papillon, Cédric “RpK” Guipouy and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, and newest member and rising star, 16 year old Kévin ‘Misutaaa’ Rabier.
2020 has been a challenging year for the CS:GO roster, following the unexpected departure of former IGL Alex ‘ALEX’ McMeekin in March which saw teen prodigy Misutaaa added to the roster during the peak of the competitive season. The new roster has gone from strength to strength, and has continued to exceed all expectations.
The success of the CS:GO team is a testament to Team Vitality’s unique approach to performance and nurturing young players. After showcasing the prominent talent of ZywOo, Team Vitality continued its legacy of developing rookies with the introduction of Misutaaa.
Team Vitality now turned its attention to the ESL Pro League where they will go head-to-head with Ninjas in Pyjamas on Wednesday 2nd September.
