FACEIT and Ubisoft have announced today the expansion of its successful FPL Rainbow Six Siege into Brazil. Launching on the 14th May, the league will feature some of the region’s top talent. FPL LATAM will share the same philosophy as its European and North American counterparts, with some added unique local flavour. FPL Rainbow Six Siege launched in Europe and North America in 2020, with competitive rivalries and storylines emerging across both leagues. Now FPL is expanding to the LATAM region to further support the global Rainbow Six Siege esports ecosystem.
FPL is a highly competitive and moderated solo-queue environment for players to socialize, practice and improve. The mission of FPL is to provide an excellent playing experience for top-tier players, to build an exciting space to create and share inspiring stories and to help discover and develop new talent. Rainbow Six Siege support was first announced in August 2020 with a dedicated European league, followed by North America in October. Now FPL Rainbow Six Siege will support the LATAM region with a dedicated Brazillian league.
The Brazillian hub will initially consist of Brasileirão (also known as BR6) and Circuito Feminino (the Women’s Circuit) players, as well as a select few brand ambassadors and other top players. Each season the top Rainbow Six players from Brazil will compete for a prize pool of $2,000. Except for the first extended season, the leaderboards will be reset at the end of each month, keeping the players on their toes and giving them new opportunities to rise to the top of the leaderboard.
FPL is renowned for its role in CS:GO, where it has been a platform for growth and development for some of the best success stories in the world, including the rise of HLTV #1 ranked player Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Robin “ropz” Kool, and Nils “k1to” Gruhn. Since 2015, FPL has supported countless rising stars in becoming professional players and the objective for FPL Rainbow Six is to replicate this success. New players qualifying for the FPL will play and network with pros, and be given the opportunity to be picked up by top teams. FPL is open to everyone who can prove themselves worthy of joining the region’s top talent pool.
To compete in FPL LATAM players must first sign up for the open Division 2 of the Official Ubisoft Esports Hub on FACEIT. At the end of each month, the top five players will advance to Division 1. However, players ranked Platinum 3 or above can skip this stage and apply directly to Division 1. In order to do so, follow the instructions found here. From Division 1, each month, only two top players will be invited to the FPL for the chance to play amongst professional players.
